What is Community Supported Agriculture?
With Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), farmers connect directly to people
interested in buying fresh, locally grown food. The farmer grows delicious produce and
delivers boxes full of vegetables and herbs to specified drop-off locations. Each week,
CSA members, or shareholders, pick up their tasty boxes of produce. By purchasing a
“share” in the farm before the growing season begins, they help the farmer pay for seeds
and supplies. They are encouraged to visit and to volunteer at the farm as a way to get to
know their farmer and the practices used to grow their food.

What's In a Share?
For 18 weeks from mid-June through mid-October, members
receive a 3/4 bushel share (14"x11"x11") of fresh, organic
vegetables and herbs for $520.Each week, shareholders can
expect:
  • 7-9 of the best vegetables: These will include plenty of
everyday foods like lettuce and tomatoes with a few
specialty items from time to time.
  • 1-2 of our freshest herbs.
  • An e-newsletter full of great recipes, storage and
preservation tips, and updates from the farm.
  • 50% off of additional produce purchased at our farmers’
    market stands.
We'll eat with the seasons...

In late spring, salad mix, peas, garlic scapes, scallions, kohlrabi, cilantro, mint, and spinach
may fill the boxes.

In early summer, heirloom tomatoes, peppers, garlic, sweet onions, and basil top off the
list. We're also growing head lettuce, carrots, cucumbers and Italian heirloom beets.

In the fall, salad mix, winter squash, cooking greens, eggplant, shallots, radish, leeks,
thyme, sage, kale, and watermelon are ready for harvest.

Toss in broccoli, collard greens, green beans, chinese cabbage, snap peas, zucchini, and pie
pumpkins and you'll get a feel for the wide variety to expect.
